29th Annual Earth and Arbor Day in Potawatomi Park

Its time to break out of those winter blues and celebrate Arbor Day 2016 with us at Potawatomi Park on April 23rd. This year marks our 19th year as a Tree City, and our 29th Earth Day celebration.

Be Kind to Animals Pet Expo in Valparaiso

The Be Kind To Animals Pet Care Expo is the longest running, largest and most well attended animal care events in northwest Indiana," shelter director Jon Thomas said in press release. "This year we have largest selection of vendors ever with over 50 booths.
The Porter County Animal Shelter will hold its 18th Annual Be Kind To Animals Pet Care Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday April 30th at the Porter County Expo Center, 215 E. Division Road.

Fall Family Fun Fair at Rum Village, South Bend, IN

The fun begins at 10:00 on Saturday, October 3, 2015! Come early to the Nature Center to decorate a Pumpkin. There will be an ice cream eating contest at 11:30 at the Nature Center and Lincoln Way Café is hosting a pie eating contest at 1:00 p.m. near the playground. There will be family entertainment featuring: Horse-drawn wagon rides, Bounce-A-Rama, a Climbing Wall, a Petting zoo, more.
